TOSS- Anything that is piling, torn, or stained. Now, this may all go without saying but some fashionistas might have a hard time parting with some things they think they will eventually  be able to mend, or magically that the stain will fade. But no. It won’t. We are almost 100% positive that there is no “Magical Mend All Your Damaged Clothes” elf in current existence. So sorry to crush your beliefs.

TOSS! Now doesn’t that feel good?

CONSIGN—(at Chic to Chic, duh)— Alright it is honest time. Does something not fit anymore? Are we holding on to it because it might one day?

Real talk; you are right. It MIGHT one day. But for now, it doesn’t, and you could be freeing up some major space in your closet as well as adding some sweet moolah to your bank account by consigning it. So go ahead, make a consign it pile and set up an appointment with us!

DONATE— Basically anything you can and are willing to part with. A good deed for sure. Bring on the good karma people!

KEEP— Now it is time to break down what can take you into this season. Let us break it down for ya.

Hold on to contrasting black and white prints or abstract designs.  Keep all those blazers (they are an ideal spring dress pairing). Anything with ruffles or lace? Hold on tight! Last but not least if you have any emerald green, dusty violets, or poppy reds these are some of the seasons IT colors. See above? Keep ‘em.

Now get to cleaning out! The more room the merrier (er, something like that). The sooner you clean OUT the sooner you can set up an appointment with us to CONSIGN your items.

Chic girls!

Attention!

We want to announce just HOW much fun we had at our last fashion show. We are practically shouting it from the rooftops. It was ahhhhmazing, oh so memorable and of course SUPER chic!

OK, now that we got THAT out of our systems here are the delicious little details of the evening. Let’s recap, shall we?

We partnered with the worlds greatest salon (seriously, it is the greatest) Trinity Salon and Spa to help raise money for the Heartly House an great organization that helps survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. It wasn’t long until a date had been set, invitations were extended and models were fitted. Everything came together effortlessly like…

…perhaps…

…it was meant to be?

*cue that Twilight Zone music*

So ANWAYS, the night went perfect. Tons of money was raised, the turnout was phenomenal and the pictures from the night came out great! Major kudos to our photographers. They captured it perfectly. A surprise birthday at So Tres Chic & Tan!

This past week we hosted a little party at our store and we had SUCH a blast. The evening was filled with friends, cake, shopping, games and a little dancing.

Actually, a lot of dancing. Hey, Rihanna was on!

OK, not REALLY famous…

YET! We had the unique and awesome opportunity to have So Tres Chic used as a backdrop for an in-the- works production which can’t be discussed quite yet. Oh, the intrigue!

OK, just to clarify Emerald is in fact not a person it is a color. Just wanted to clear that up.

On that note, let’s chat about the glorious-ness of this shade. Described as a radiant, lovely lush green this color is bright and fresh. The color green is the most abundant shade in nature and is the color eyes see most radiantly.

Red heads rejoice. This shade looks FAB on you. Just take a look below:

But, truly anyone can look amazing in this color. If you are brunette choose a brighter hued version. Blondes go for something a bit deeper.

Want to stand out for all those parties you have coming up? Wear an emerald green dress with vintage stud earrings. You will look STUNNING. People will be green with envy.

Tehehe, we just had to.

For a more casual look pair dark denim trousers with a tucked in emerald blouse. Wear a chunky sparkle necklace to complete the look.

Don’t want to wear this color? Thats ok, buy some emerald green eyeliner. Swipe on some black mascara and nude gloss and you will look perfect!

And if worst comes to worst you can just put this Tiffany’s ring on your Christmas list. No big.

So we were delighted when the Habitat for Humanity crew asked us to participate in an event benefiting the Women’s Build program which helps single mom’s build homes for their families!

We had an absolute blast. We ate way too many hor d’ oeuvres, got our hair braided at the braid bar and donned our finest dresses.  Check out some of the pictures we snapped below.
